Character
The Cordillera Blanca is the largest mountain range of Peru with 31 peaks over 6,000 meter high. More than half of the Peruvian highest 6,000m peaks are here, including the highest mountain (Huascaran) and the most beautiful mountain (Alpamayo) of Peru. The Pisco BC to Laguna 69 trek starts from the famous Llanganuco valley and is one of the most popular treks from Huaraz.
Requirements
You are healthy and have a good condition. The trail is not too difficult but has some steep sections.
Best Season
The best trekking season in the Andes is from April to October, with rainy season in between. It is usually sunny and warm during this time. Due to the altitude, the nights can be quite cold (to minus 5 ° C).

Day 1: Dayhike to Laguna Churup
We drive 1 hour from Huaraz to Pitec (3850m) passing through the traditional villages of Unchus and Llupa. After entering the national park we start ascending by following the path over a long ridge. The final 100m to the lake scrambling up a steep rock gully which some people may find difficult. About 5 to 6 hours to walk from Pitec to the lake and return.

Meals
During the hike we pay attention to a healthy and high-calorie diet. For lunch, a box lunch is served. We can prepare vegetarian dishes on request.
Transport
We use minivans or comfortable 4×4 off-road vehicles, depending on the group size.

Frequenly asked questions
How many days should I get used to the altitude before this hike?
The time required varies from person to person. If you already have high altitude experience, your body may become acclimated faster. We recommend spending at least 2 days in Huaraz or doing easy activities in the area.
