Alpamayo Expedition (5,947 m) - The Most Beautiful Mountain in the World
This mountain is one of the main attractions of the Cordillera Blanca and the dream of every mountaineer. Alpamayo forms an almost perfect ice pyramid seen from the north side, trekking route Quebrada de los Cedros. It was proclaimed by the magazine Alpinismus as "The Most Beautiful Mountain in the World" during the Munich scenic photography contest in 1966.
Itinerary
Day 1:Huaraz (3,052 m) - Cashapampa (2,900 m) - Llamacorral (3,760 m)
Departure from Huaraz by private vehicle towards the Callejón de Huaylas to the picturesque village of Cashapampa, the gateway to Huascarán National Park. We begin the trek through the imposing Santa Valley, bordering the river and surrounded by vertical walls and lush vegetation. After 4-5 hours of gentle ascent, we reach the Llamacorral campsite, our first contact with the solitude of the mountain. Meals included - packed lunch and dinner
Day 2:Llamacorral - Laguna Jatuncocha - Quebrada Arhuaycocha - Alpamayo Base Camp (4,300 m)
We begin the route ascending towards Laguna Jatuncocha, a turquoise water mirror reflecting the first snow-capped peaks. We continue up the Arhuaycocha ravine, where the landscape becomes increasingly rugged and glacial. Finally, we reach the strategic Base Camp, located on a plain with imposing views of the south face of Alpamayo and Quitaraju. Meals included - Breakfast, packed lunch and dinner
Day 3:Base Camp (4,300 m) - Moraine - High Camp Alpamayo (5,300 m)
Demanding but crucial day. We ascend along the lateral moraine until reaching the glacier. With full equipment and in rope teams, we make our way through crevasses until establishing the High Camp, at the foot of the famous west face of Alpamayo. From here, the perfect ice pyramid rises imposingly. We prepare everything for the final effort and rest early. Meals included - Breakfast, packed lunch, tea, dinner

? Which shoe is suitable for this expedition?
Suitable for high tours, ice climbing and expeditions. Shoes of this type have a special sole, which makes bending of the shoe almost impossible. In combination with the extremely stable workmanship and absolutely resistant to crampons. For use at higher altitudes, they are often still specially insulated.
? Rental equipment or bring my own gear?
If you already have your own equipment, it makes sense that you bring it with you. If something is missing, it can be booked with us.
