Alpamayo Climb
Alpamayo Expedition (5,947m) - The Most Beautiful Mountain in the World
Embark on a challenging 9-day expedition to summit Nevado Alpamayo, considered by many to be the most beautiful mountain in the world. Located in the heart of the Cordillera Blanca, its iconic ice pyramid with nearly perfect striations is the dream of every experienced climber. The program is designed for optimal acclimatization, starting with two day hikes to the beautiful lakes of Wilcacocha and Churup. Then, the adventure ventures into the Alpamayo massif, where the technical difficulty increases. The ascent involves navigating ice slopes of up to 60° on its famous south-west face, a challenge overcome with the use of fixed ropes. This expedition is highly demanding, both physically and technically, suitable exclusively for mountaineers with prior experience on snow, ice, and rock terrain. Safety, acclimatization, and teamwork are key to reaching the summit of this iconic Andean giant. The best season to attempt this summit is from June to August, when weather conditions are typically more stable. Prepare for an unforgettable experience on one of the most spectacular mountains on the planet.
