Itinerary
Day 1:Huaraz - Pitec - Laguna Churup - Huaraz
The adventure begins at 7:30 a.m. with pickup from your hotel in Huaraz and transfer to Pitec (3,850 m), the starting point of the hike. We begin the approximately 3-hour ascent along a steep trail that combines dirt and rock sections, with some parts requiring the use of steel cables to overcome granite walls. The reward comes upon reaching Laguna Churup (4,450 m), with its crystal-clear turquoise and emerald waters, surrounded by imposing rock walls and the Churup glacier. We will enjoy free time to rest, take photographs, and appreciate the beauty of the place. We begin the 2-hour descent back to Pitec, where the transport awaits us for the return to Huaraz, arriving at approximately 4:30 p.m.
