Tocllaraju Climb
Tocllaraju Climb
Tocllaraju (6,032 m) rises imposingly in the heart of the Cordillera Blanca, considered one of Peru's most elegant and technically challenging 'six-thousanders.' Its snow-covered silhouette, visible from the entire Ishinca Valley, attracts climbers from around the world who seek to test their skills on high-altitude glacier terrain. Located in the Ishinca Gorge, the ascent of Tocllaraju offers a complete mountaineering experience, from the comfort of a mountain refuge at the base camp to the thrill of navigating crevasses, seracs, and ice slopes that demand skill and determination. It is not a summit that comes easily; changing conditions, the presence of fog, and the complexity of its glacier make it a challenge that must be approached with respect and preparation.
