Climbing Nevado Urus and Ishinca
Urus and Ishinca Climb - The Gateway to 6,000-meter Peaks
Located in the heart of the Cordillera Blanca, just a few hours from the city of Huaraz, the Ishinca Valley is one of the most spectacular and accessible destinations for mountaineering in Peru. This glacial valley not only offers dreamlike landscapes but is also the perfect setting for our acclimatization and ascent expedition to two iconic summits, Urus Peak (5,495 m) and Ishinca Peak (5,530 m). This program is specially designed for beginner mountaineers with minimal high-altitude experience, as well as for those looking to gain altitude progressively and safely before taking on greater challenges (such as Tocllaraju or Huascarán). During the trip, our high mountain guides will teach you or perfect your basic glacial travel techniques, rope management, and the use of crampons and ice axes.
