Yanapaccha Climb
Yanapaccha Peak Ascent (5,460 msnm) - The Hidden Gem of Llanganuco
Nevado Yanapaccha, whose name in Quechua means 'Black Waterfall' (Yana = Black / Paccha = Waterfall), is one of the least explored gems of the Cordillera Blanca. Located in the stunning Llanganuco Valley, near the popular Nevado Pisco, this peak offers a more intimate and wild mountain experience, away from busy routes. This climb is ideal for those looking to start mountaineering in Peru with moderate technical demands, enjoying spectacular views of Huascarán, Huandoy, and Chopicalqui, and the unparalleled beauty of the Chinancocha and Orconcocha lagoons. A short but intense adventure that combines dreamlike landscapes, pristine glaciers, and the satisfaction of reaching a summit over 5,400 meters.
